Apples

Western North Carolina and the southern Appalachians are famous for apples. Apple orchards and wild apple trees are found throughout the region. Many apple orchards invite you to come right out into the orchard and pick your own apples, or they make fresh apple cider, or delicious baked goods from fresh apples. You really can’t say you’ve experienced the southern Appalachians until you have visited one of our many family-farm apple orchards.
