Wake Robin Farm has been recognized by North Carolina as a 'century farm' -- it has been farmed by our family since the early 1800's. After many years of tobacco, corn and cattle, our farm is now under a forest management plan dedicated to the reintroduction of the American chestnut in the next decade. We support our farm by baking European-style and whole-grain breads in a wood-fired oven. Our breads are made with local ingredients using time-honored artisan techniques. We sell fresh at tailgate markets: Wednesday French Broad Food Coop; Saturday North Asheville UNCA and City Market. Call about cooking classes and tours.
