Nora Mill Granary, Inc

Nora Mill Granary was built in 1876 on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, 2 miles south of Helen on Hwy. 75. Today at Nora Mill, the original, 1500 pound, 48" millstones that labored in 1876 still turn and grind the grains sold there. We offer such old-fashioned staples as Stone Ground Grits, Coarse Ground Cornmeal, Biscuit Mix, Gravy Mix, Porridge, Whole Wheat Flours, Bread & Muffin Mixes, and many more. Be sure to visit our gift store, "Nora Mill Next Door," with thousands of new items, including old-fashioned candies, cast-iron cookware, speckled enamelware, Burt's Bees products, cookbooks, and a large kitchen built exclusively for cooking samples, and many more gourmet foods & country store novelties. Nora Mill's website offers all of our grain products by mail order for personal use or for gifts. All products are shipped freshly ground, guaranteed. Please stop in for a visit whenever you have the opportunity and see why this is a favorite stop for White County visitors. We would love for you to come in and sample a heaping spoonful of our "Georgia Ice Cream" (White Speckled Grits) and Pioneer's Porridge, cooked fresh every morning.
